Catching the last rays of the setting winter sun on Bamford Edge in the Peak District National Park, England.
The big dark hole in the foreground is one of two vertical spillways next to the Ladybower Reservoir dam. When the water level rises high enough, they allow it to safely overflow through the dam and down to the River Derwent below. They're affectionately known as "plugholes", and many local children grow up believing they lead all the way to the centre of the Earth! π
