Least Chipmunk

Finally managed to capture a decent shot of one of these little critters! I realise they probably provide about as much inspiration to North Americans as seeing some field mice, but to someone from the antipodes of the earth it was quite exciting. The least chipmunk (Tamias minimus) is the smallest species of chipmunk measuring about 15.7–25 cm (6.2–9.8 in) in total length with a weight of 25–66 g (0.88–2.33 oz). They are fast moving and hard to capture it seems. Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada
