Plain Tiger in Flight*
A few weeks ago, I had tried photographing butterflies in flight but I was not successful in getting focused images.
When I arrived at the Community Garden in Singapore Chinese Garden at noon today, I saw several different species of butterflies flying around under the hot afternoon sun. I was determined to capture successfully at least one of them in flight. I set the shutter speed of my camera at 1/1250 second. I pointed the camera here and there, there and here and here and there and shot continuously for nearly half an hour, until I thought I had a few good shots.
Back home, I looked at a few dozens of the images on the screen of my computer. The one posted here is the better of them all. Most of the other pictures are again not clear. I have yet to figure out an effective way of taking pictures of flying butterflies.
