Escape...
I've got a young family (two boys, 2 years and 3.5 years old). They normally wake at least once in the night and I go to them, settle them and get them back to sleep. Then they'll be awake at about 05:20 every day.
Family life takes over, weekends are about keeping the kids happy and the week is for work, then pick up the kids and it's all about them again.
After three and a half years I finally got a weekend away in the van. I parked up in a car park by the lake late Friday, ate the kebab I'd just bought and went to bed and slept.
Unfortunately three and a half years of starting the day at 05:20 meant I was awake at silly o'clock. Thank god I was.
