A Slightly Different Look at Santa's House
I broke out my old Canon PowerShot, just to see how Santa's House would look in a photo taken by it. I hadn't used it in many years, and security at the Americana was cracking down on anything that looked like a real camera -- except phones.
This is the only photo I took with it. I bought the camera 13 years ago this month. Technology has changed considerably since then. What you are seeing here is from a small 12MP sensor. The color saturation had to be boosted via Vivid mode on the camera. The exposure latitude isn't as good as it is on my DSLR, and it isn't even as good as it is on my current smartphone. The background at the upper right blows out, where the DSLR and the smartphone can capture it well enough.
