One Disadvantage In Using a Mask
I just wanted to offer up a little levity to this situation. Everyone is going around in public with masks, many wear gloves, too. (I do when I'm out.) Everyone's lives are turned upside down and there aren't clear indications as to when things will let up soon.
Also, how many empty shelves, near-deserted streets, closed stores and restaurants can one get before they all begin to blur together?
There is a 7-11 around the corner from where I live. I went over there in the afternoon and got a 69 cent Big Gulp. No one can go in without a mask. The counters have plexiglass protectors set up. One can still serve themselves coffee or a Big Gulp or a Slurpee. But all the cups are behind the counter and the employee there gives you the size you request. The six foot markers are on the floor, and there are crates placed in front of the counter, so the customer can't get close, having to reach over to set down the items they buy, or to hand over the money. The employees also wear gloves and masks.
At least there is toilet paper and milk available in the store.
