"Barry Lyndon" and a Hint of "A Clockwork Orange" at 7th and Metro
This is part of the mural that can be found on the Hope Street exit at the 7th and Metro Station. The lower half shows one of the more famous moments from "Barry Lyndon," also from Stanley Kubrick. The painting depicts a "seduction scene," where Ryan O'Neal's Redmond Barry is seducing Marisa Berenson's Lady Lyndon at the gaming table in order to gain her fortune. This is one of the celebrated scenes lit solely by candle light. The artist for this painting had a lot easier work to do.
I don't recognize the two panels on the top half, but you can see in the upper right corner Malcolm McDowell as Alex in Kubrick's "A Clockwork Orange."
