Sikorsky HH-60 Pave Hawk (nose)

The boom (pipe) sticking out from the right side of the helicopter is a extendable refueling probe. It sticks out beyond the main rotor to allow the helicopter to refuel from an airborne tanker.

The HH-60 is a dedicated Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) helicopter designed to pick up pilots who have been shot down.
