Rendering on an EC2 High-CPU Extra Large Instance
I'm using Sunflow to render a scene from Structure Synth on a 64-bit, 8-core virtual machine. I don't have the final times in yet, but its sure seems faster than rendering locally just by looking at the progress bars.
Configuring and launching the instance using the web console was very easy. PuTTY, PuTTYgen, Pageant, and WinSCP all play nice and had me with terminal + drag-and-drop file access quickly enough.
