Practical HDR
Some ask what is the point of High Dynamic Range photography or how it works. Here's an over-the-top example for you.
The first shot shows an exposure designed to give you the important foreground details for the combine harvester and the figure. However, it is very bright so the camera can't show us much of the background and sky (ie what your human eye is admiring in reality)
So we combine three different exposures at three different f-stops in order to see what is in the sky and background fields... and hey-presto (or is that HAY-Presto?) we can see what's going on.
Admittedly I might have gone a bit OTT on the tone-mapping here.... he he.
