Stained Glass, Sudbury All Saints Church 150315 (22)
In 1934 when war was declared cities like Manchester moved children to the countryside for safety. One location was Sudbury in Derbyshire and 60 years after the historical event it's been recorded in this stained glass window. It was handmade by Michael Stokes and was commissioned by a group of evacuees who presented it in the first year of the Millennium to say thank you for their protection and affection that was given to them during the war years.
