July wk3-5

Well the Vietnam travelling War Memorial was in Boulder this weekend. As a previous member of the US armed forces, I was partly obligated to go pay my respects. I also knew there might be some photo op's there too.

 

The thing that strikes me most blatantly about the memorial, and this shot, is that there's too fucking many names on this wall. And what the hell for? I've yet to hear a valid reason for this. Just like the current war in the middle east, it's wrong, and too many people are dieing and getting injured as a result. I do love my country, but am also ashamed at how private interests, ignorance, and criminality has allowed our terrible president and government to get us into this war of terror. It's a big lie.

 

To those around the world reading this, thanks for reading, and know that war and domination is not what our country is about. Myself and a majority of Americans know it was all a lie and are working towards ending this war. Sorry for the last 8 years, it should never have happened.
