This picture sums up the denial of my trip to AK. After another no-fly day/no-snowcat day/no Alyeska open day. We spent 3 hours driving through the worst shitty rainy, icy, and snowy conditions I've ever seen to get within 1 mile of the cabin in Seward (it's just around this bend) only to find another friggin avalanche had covered the road and denied us again. ARRGGHHHHHH!!!
Since we didn't have rubber boots, getting out and walking to the cabin would have resulted in cold wet feet and hypothermia. We turned around and drove straight back to Anchorage. Frickin amazing!
