i don’t wish to disappear into a virtual hole

that isolates me from a physical encounter

with the world outside my bubble

i don’t want to be protected from danger

or the chance of being hurt

 

i want to come face to face with the world

i want to make mistakes and be held accountable

i want to risk everything

because these are the means by which i learn

they are what makes joy all the more recognisable
