Meadow Grasshopper!

The Meadow Grasshopper (Chorthippus parallelus) is a resident of mainly damp, unimproved pastures and meadows, moors and marshes. It is mostly green in colour, with a dark grey-brown stripe running across the flank to the eye, but brown and purplish forms also occur. It has short forewings that do not reach to the end of its abdomen and are particularly short in females, making it predominantly flightless. It is the most common and widespread grasshopper in England, Wales and Scotland.

They are often eaten by spiders, and can be parasitized by flies and attacked by fungi.
