indiana has and assignment due tomorrow...a book report where she has to use metaphors to describe the central themes of a favourite book...we did this together in elements to describe rossamund’s plight in “monster blood tattoo”...
earned me a squeal of delight as it came off the printer, a hug and a kiss...
last night it was a science project, up till 12.30 then up at 5 am to make sure she got done what she needed...
and the boy has been ducking and weaving on a project all term...teacher rang today after i sent him to school with a note stickytaped to his head saying "REMEMBER TO ASK YOUR TEACHER ABOUT THIS ASSIGNMENT WE KNOW NOTHING ABOUT..." turns out there was a whole lotta work he was meant to be doing, but now has to condense ten weeks into one (a chip off the old block)...looks like another week of sleepless nights ahead...
and they both have lice...spent an hour after dinner with a bottle of conditioner and a fine tooth comb...griffin’s were about to gain sentience, so am glad i got in prior to the stone age coming down all heavy on his poor little head...
& indy's saxophone somehow bent itself..."i have no idea how that happened dad..." been a week in at repairs...concert in 12 hours and still no sax...looks like another day running around sydney to pick up on that...
and here i sit down at 11pm, indy tucked up in bed, to try to get done the other (my) stuff that needs doing...
but coming back to that hug i earned...wouldn't swap it for the world...
