Pineal is painted on a 1/2" medium density fiberboard panel (MDF). This painting is ready to hang in either vertical orientation.
Pineal is from a group of small paintings that begin as a circle of manipulated media. Media is add to this circle until there is a "rupture". Once the rupture occurs the media is further manipulated until it feels right.
Pineal "a pea-sized conical mass of tissue behind the third ventricle of the brain, secreting a hormone-like substance in some mammals."
