Kokopo is een stad op het eiland Nieuw-Brittannië van Papoea-Nieuw-Guinea. Het is de hoofdstad van de provincie East New Britain. De hoofdstad werd verplaatst van Rabaul in 1994 toen de vulkanen Tavurvur en Vulkan uitbarstten.
