Northern Exposure

A dusting of frost clings to a dune in the great polar erg of Mars, the sea of sand surrounding the north polar ice cap. Polygonal soil similar to what the Phoenix lander encountered can be seen beneath the dunes. The area shown is roughly a kilometer across.
