Chillin' in Texas ....

.

To the love of my life...Always!

.... Good morning beautiful ...

.

People say I'm just a rough boy

I ain't no good for you girl

It's a dead end street, tryin' to love me

Yeah, I'll wreck your world

I can see why they're all talkin'

Lookin' back at my past

I've got a bad name, but a man can change

I'm livin' proof of that

(Chorus)

Til my last day

Til my last breath

Of everyone that can, I can love you the best

Til my last day, I'll be lovin' you

All the way up, til they lay me down

Six feet under, the cold hard ground

Til my last day, I'll be lovin' you

Baby I might meet all my friends

Shoot the bull, have a beer or two

But you know I'll be the first one to leave

In a hurry to get to you

Somewhere deep inside your angel eyes

I found a place to rest, don't ever doubt that

I'll be around, and baby don't you ever forget

Til my last day

Til my last breath

Of everyone that can, I can love you the best

Til my last day, I'll be lovin' you

All the way up, til they lay me down

Six feet under, the cold hard ground

Til my last day, I'll be lovin' you

Darlin' yes I Will

Til my last day

Til my last breath

Of everyone that can, I can love you the best

Til my last day, I'll be lovin' you

All the way up, til they lay me down

Six feet under, the cold hard ground

Til my last day, I'll be lovin' you

Oh babe, til my last day

just chillin in Texas Til my last day.... .... Walk a mile in my shoes ....

.

After being away from Texas for several weeks I need time to myself; just need time to chill ... (My wife comes in while I sit out in the front porch; looking out to the horizon just beyond 'em hills ... she sits right next to me begins to chew the cut...There's two theories to arguin' with a woman. Neither one works. I thought to myself; never miss a good chance to shutup Ricky ...)

She: Whatcha ya thinkin' big boy?

(I have to interject a couple of things about my wife; she was born-raised in Boston, Mass. her parents and grandparents are from Palermo, Italy. It has taken many years to persuade her it is OK to say "doin' - thinkin' - y'll" though she tries to fit in...It is difficult for her to become a Texian; but I love her from here to the moon!)

Me: nothin' just chillin'

She: gonna sit here all day?

Me: Yup!

She: If you find yourself in a hole, the first thing to do is stop diggin' you know that right?

Me: (I'm thinking to myself real seriously now; Some men talk 'cause they got somethin' to say. Others talk 'cause they gotta say somethin' but A smile from a good woman is worth more'n a dozen handed out by a bartender....Right?) But instead of sayin' tha right dang thing, I murmur Don't never interfere with somethin' that ain't botherin' you none.....Oh boy, too late!!

She said: WELL!! If you wanna be alone just say so; Ricky K M. @#$%^&*#$@!!!

I'm thinkin' I sure gotta lotta fence mendin' to do now!!!!

PS

My bro told me once: There’s nothing better for a man's soul than being outside on a Horse. The 'Ol Galoot; he's studying to be a half-wit.!! I should've been out there ridin' instead of sittin' on my rear lookin' for trouble...
