A post for myself...my goal is almost met!

The definition of a friend has changed in today’s technologically connected world. Today we may think we have many “friends.” It is true: we do enjoy the ability to be informed and to stay current with what is happening in the lives of many of our acquaintances as well as current and former friends and even people we have not met personally whom we call our friends.

 

 

In the context of social media, the term “friend” is often used to describe contacts rather than relationships. You have the ability to send your “friends” a message, but this is not the same thing as having a relationship with a person one on one.

 

 

Sometimes our preoccupation is on having friends. Perhaps we should focus on being a friend. The words I heard my brother read recently ring loud and clear: “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends" My song said it well not long ago: True friends influence those with whom they associate to “rise a little higher [and] be a little better.” You can help one another, particularly young men, prepare for and serve honorable missions. You can help one another remain morally clean. Your righteous influence and friendship can have an eternal effect not only on the lives of those with whom you associate but also on generations to come...

 

 

 

Two lanes of Freedom I don't expect any comments or favorites; this is a post just for myself to remind me how cool a friend can be; especially when least expected...

When did we decide to accept mediocracy as the new standard of living? When did we decide “good enough” was the new standard? When did we decide “meets requirements” is the new norm for living? I refuse to live my life by rules or precepts set by those who are of average or below average competence. A society in which people with little (if any) talent and skill are dominant and highly influential. A social or administrative system which is like an antithesis to a meritocracy. I strongly believe: A mediocrity society cannot make headway or produce the most excellent; the most amazing individuals capable of stunning accomplishments as mankind has in past decades-centuries.

 

 

For this reason; I am posting new photos with a basic idea in mind. My post will be for real contacts. For those who like-enjoy truly a human aspect; a perspective for being what we can be BEST! My future contacts will be only those who are real contacts; people who visit my collection as much or more as I do posting. Folks who like friends; stay in contact thereby the definition of a contact: the state or condition that exists when people see and communicate with each other. : An occurrence in which people communicate with each other. “The state or condition of physical touching”. My postings are positive images-photos about living a productive-positive life surrounded by family and friends.
