we're goin' home, sunset post

.

This will probably be my last post for a while friends; if you read my description; you’ll understand the reasons. Flickr is an awesome medium; when I returned from South Africa four years ago after an absence from Texas of many years; at the request of my only brother I joined Flickr, not realizing what positive results would come about my life. First and probably most important; Flickr provided the means by which my brother and I could begin to communicate in a level not done for a long time; such is the power of sharing photos. Another positive result was; after joining/including other social network venues in conjunction with Flickr; I was able to relocate several nieces-nephews; family members, who for one reason or another had lost contact with my family after the departure of their parents; in some case my sister or brother ... I was elated when we were able to regain contact with many of my family members who we considered gone. Such has been one of the highlights of being a Flickr member.

Now, I am at a point in my life where; due to circumstances I want to spend all the time I can with each of my family members. Life has blessed my family last two years greatly! Our 2014 summer has been one full of many activities’; events, trips, much traveling before the autumn falls begins…You see, this coming Fall, most of those nieces or nephews as well as brothers in-law are moving away due to work (Some recently graduated from college) many changes in my family as well as each one’s life due to unforeseen reason. The old adage is true “The only constant in life is change” once again, we may not see each other for quite some time; however, this time, will be different for we have reacquainted ourselves and promise to stay in touch no matter the place or time. Some are going overseas due to a newly selected employment; some are relocating and some are joining social causes to volunteer helping those who may not be as blessed…

I want to spend every possible day with my brother; who also has relocated to the west coast between staying in northern California and Seattle due to my sister’s health condition who does much better where the climate is colder; Texas is not the place for either one right now. The only one in Texas will be my brother in-law Scot and my sister Julia; their children also; have relocated abroad and will not be coming back to Texas for the next two years. I want to take my wife to spend time with our own two treasures; who also live several thousand miles away from us…

Below you will see some of the photos taken during our summer of 2014; there is no need to comment; just enjoy life and your loved ones.

Have a fantastic life! Be kind to each other and yourself; I tried to live life in a hurry and it caught up with me~

summer came and left without a warning

I must go down to the seas again,

to the lonely sea and the sky,

And all I ask is a tall ship

and a star to steer her by,

And the wheel's kick and the wind's song

and the white sail's shaking,

And a grey mist on the sea's face

and a grey dawn breaking.

I must go down to the seas again,

for the call of the running tide

Is a wild call and a clear call

that may not be denied;

And all I ask is a windy day

with the white clouds flying,

And the flung spray and the blown spume,

and the sea-gulls crying.

I must go down to the seas again

to the vagrant gypsy life,

To the gull's way and the whale's way

where the wind's like a whetted knife;

And all I ask is a merry yarn

from a laughing fellow rover,

And quiet sleep and a sweet dream

when the long trick's over.

So long friends, or if one prefers: "adios" "lebewohl" "arrivederci" "da svedanya" "farvel" "la revedere" "da veezhdanye" "sbohem" "au revoir" Goodbye Friend
