2017 Comic Con San Diego

These wraps are illegal. They violate San Diego ordinances regarding signage advertising. The hotels understand that they will be fined, sometimes to the tune of $10,000, but they get paid much more than that from the studios that commission the wrap. The hotels just consider it a cost of doing business. Of course, they are also trying to get the law changed.
