He may have got the month wrong but the waterways in the Northwest are definitely "singing" as they overflow with the spring snow melt and and recent rains.
I spent several enjoyable hours exploring and photographing at Deception Creek Fall Recreation Area on US Route 2 near Stevens Pass.
The short nature trail travels along the creek and then turns inland and winds through the lovely mature second growth forest where many old growth trees still remain. In the spring the new growth is very bright and "green". The dappled light accents appearance making for a wonderful forest experience.
