CALATRAVA'S-SCIENCE-&-EDUCATION-BUILDING

Calatrava Series l the Science & Education Building Lakeland, Florida. Finally finished after 183 iterations......Lightroom cc, Photoshop cc, Nik SEP 2, Iso 100, focal length 86mm, aperture f/13, exposure 239 sec. Firecrest ND filter 16 stop, taken @ 10:49 am. This is the image that resulted in my blog "Helpful Thoughts Deciding When To Purchase A New Lens." www.richterpolilli.com/articles/

Joel Tjintjelaar taught me the three most important components to B&W architecture photography is: light, shadows, and structure. At the time of this shoot I failed to bring my best lens and the post processing was a labor of love and a nightmare. Without the lens, technique to capture the exacting detail that Santiago Calatrava demands with his architecture was an exciting, formidable, demanding challenge to showcase the exacting structure in conjunction with light and shadow. I will be following up with Series ll,lll, and lV shortly.

To all my family & friends wishing you a healthy, successful & safe New Year.
