Hachiko
Hachiko walked to the Shibuya train station every day to meet his owner, then travelled vainly to the station for a further seven years after the old man's death. After Hachiko's own demise in 1935, he became a Tokyo legend and his obituary was carried in the newspapers. This is his statue, just outside the station.
