OnRail TRAXX AC3 | Eidsvoll (NO)
on 31 January 2023 Green Cargo Norge seized all traffic in Norway. The business and train paths were taken over by OnRail. OnRail is leasing locomotives for the new trains. TRAXX AC3 187 404, owned by Railpool, was in use with Green Cargo Norge until 31st January but is leased by OnRail now. This loco was heading OnRail train 5930 Heimdal (Trondheim) - Alnabru, passing south of Eidsvoll. The old line Between Eidsvoll and Lillestrøm is single track and is of less importance since the opening of the double track Gardermobanen. As far north as Dal there is a regional passenger service. Between Eidsvoll and Dal the line only has freight traffic. The picture was taken on the freight only part of the line. To the right is a water power plant.
