It's the real thing

The sole surviving 1978 Coca-Cola/Levi-Strauss Triumph TR7, at speed near Elton, Cambridgeshire, England.

The TR7 was chosen as the competition giveaway for Coca-Cola's 1978 ‘All Summer Long‘ promotion, with one up for grabs every month during that long, hot summer. British Leyland, Coca-Cola and Levi-Strauss - now there's a bizarre alliance - teamed up to make the the sporty wedge something a little out-of-the-ordinary. Externally, the Triumphs were finished in Coca-Cola red and white, while inside, jeans manufacturer Levi-Strauss re-trimmed the interiors in blue denim, including 501 jeans pockets on the sun visors and door trims. There was even a fridge in the boot and a television in the glovebox!

Only three were made, each given away as a prize, along with £500 spending money. To stand a chance of winning, entrants had to list as many words as possible from the phrase ‘All Summer’. The overall winner managed an amazing 315 words and thus earned himself a very special Triumph TR7. And this is it...
