This is my first attempt and this is a test HDR in every sense. In fact, this image is about as "sooc" as possible for me. What you are viewing here is 3 separate JPEGs merged together using Corel PaintShop Pro Photo X2. That is correct. I do not own that Photomatix program, and I did not even open up the NEF (RAW) files from my Nikon D90 and merge them that way. Nor do I even know how to. I just merged the 3 JPEGs and applied some color saturation and contrast, and that is about it.
This is my favorite vantage of the Emerald City looking across Elliot Bay from Alki Beach in West Seattle. And as I said in my tag, no this is not Alaska, which is a reference to several sportswriters and commentators who allude to sports teams not wanting to travel to Seattle and play games because it is too far. Enjoy!
