Sulawesi dwarf-kingfisher (Ceyx fallax)
Endemic to Sulawesi, Indonesia
Searching for a bird as small as this one in a quite vast area is almost like looking for a needle in a haystack. We arrived at the location after lunch and only managed to photograph it when the daylight was already fading. The access to the site is quite difficult. We had to cross a river walking on a tree trunk and the banks were quite high, difficult to climb and even more to descend. Thank God, I had a good help :) But the effort was worth it.
