1961 – A1X Railtour at Tenterden..
Taken on June 11th 1961
Ex-LBSC ‘Terrier’ A1X 0-6-0T 32662 at Tenterden, during the Locomotive Club of Great Britain ‘The South Eastern Limited’ railtour, on an overcast day in June 1961.
The loco had entered service in 1875 as No 62 'Martello', and was withdrawn by BR in November 1963, and purchased by Butlins for display at their Heads-of-Ayr holiday camp. It was later sold on, to Bressingham Steam Museum, and today (2025) is in operating condition as Southern Railway 662, and was seen there in 2024:

Tenterden station has been restored, and is now part of the preserved Kent and East Sussex Railway.
