1964 - Tyneside on a Frosty Day..

Ex-LNER articulated 'Tyneside Unit' EMU entering Whitley Bay station, on a chilly day in December 1964.

This DC Electric service ended in 1967, and none of these units survived into preservation.

Today (2023) this is part of the 'Tyneside Metro' network..
