1969 - DC EMU at Altrincham..

Ex-LMS 1500v DC emu M28587M leaving Altrincham station, in April 1969.

The units were later designated as 'Class 505', and fitted with more modern Stone Faiveley pantographs, but the service ended in 1971, and the line was converted to 25kV AC operation. Two of the trailer non-driving carriages have been preserved..
