1968 - 'Booster' and a 2-HAL..
SR Bulleid/Raworth Co-Co electric loco 20001 at Seaford station, in June 1968, with the Bullied Pacific Preservation Society's 'Bullied Commemorative Railtour'. SR 2-HAL unit 2623 is on the left..
20001 was withdrawn in January 1969, and scrapped in September. None of the class of 3 locos survived, but one of their flywheel/motor-generator sets still exists.. 2-HAL units were withdrawn from passenger service by 1971, and a few were retained for parcels and departmental use, but none survived into preservation.
Today (2017) Seaford station is still in use, but has just a single track, and one platform, but the main station building and canopy have survived..
Restored from an edge-damaged under-exposed unfocussed grainy original..
