Condemn Me
From the DSM-IV Critera that defines Borderline Personality Disorder:
4. Two potentially self-damaging impulsive behaviors. These could include alcohol and other drug abuse, compulsive spending, gambling, eating disorders, shoplifting, reckless driving, compulsive sexual behavior.
Fulfilled point #4 today. I always drive reckless, that's a given. But I also tend to be a compulsive spender. Not crazy-like, dropping thousands. Just mildly irrational, getting a bug up my ass about something and having to have it...NOW!!! Today it was a new lens. Not a really nice one but something that fulfills something I wanted. A fast mid-range zoom to replace the D50 kit lens. I settled for a 28-70 f/2.8 Tokina. No idea how quality it is, but the price was right for a mere $160 Bargain rated at KEH. I was like a kid on Christmas picking it up. Had to squeeze off a few shots. Got this crapola one and photoshopped the shit out of it. I sort of like it now...
Yeah, so go ahead condemn me for splurging and making myself happy. If only for a day...
