Mapledurham Lock
This lock is just outside of Reading on the River Thames - a place I walk often with Spike. It is typical of the many locks on the Thames as it makes its way through Oxfordshire into Berkshire and on to it's more familiar manifestation as it runs through the City of London. This shot is taken with a telephoto lens from the top of the hill opposite (where I have taken many of my "cloud" shots). It's for a special Flickr friend in Southern California where the landscape is somewhat different from this lush and lazy green English countryside!
