as people innocently pass him by

always watching never speaking a word

what does he care

as soon he will get old

grow lines like a sketchpad

rings for under heavy eyes

and teeth are withered to the gums

 

skin full of life

turns pale with nightly freeze

no blanket to protect from the elements

nor hide from critters

ahh such is life of forgotten kin
