Jeff Balke
Jeff was introduced to me by Aaron Conklin (the man doing the writing for the Isthmus coverage of Wizard World Comic Con), and I instantly felt a good vibe from him as we shook hands. While Jeff has been doing sketch coloring for the better part of the last seven years, he originally started out with a great passion for drawing comics. He explained to me that he was able to go full time with coloring when he lost his day job, which while it sucked at the time it was a great big door left open for him. Being able to devote his full attention to his true passion really shows in the great detail in his work. A good laugh, a firm handshake, and a good smile made him an easy in for the (608)strangers. I didn't want to keep him from potential visitors at the Con so we snapped a couple quick pictures, and when I shared them with him he was content with whatever photo I decided to pick. I really enjoy when people are not to fickle with their photographs, in my experience with the 100 strangers. I think that this is a main reason I shoot considerably more male strangers then I do females. A new face and a new friend, we parted ways and wished each other all the best for the Con weekend.
