Suzuki Alto 1984
Suzuki Alto 1984. Confusingly, the name 'Alto' was given to a commercial variant of the Suzuki Fronte (SS30/SS40) introduced in 1979. However, Suzuki decided to market the 'Fronte' as the 'Alto' in export markets. Produced as a Kei-class car, the diminutive Alto was launched with a 539cc 2-stroke engine, and later the option of 543cc or 796cc 3-cylinder sohc engines. Three and five door hatchbacks were offered, although the 'hatch' is only an opening rear window.
