Christ Resurrection Basilica

Lord Jesus Christ's Resurrection Basilica, architect Karlis Reisons. Built from a corner stone taken from the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem in 1934 the Church was completed in 1940, used as a warehouse by the German occupiers, then abandoned under Soviet occupation until 1952 when it was used as a Radio factory. Rebuilding began in 1988 and the Church was finally opened in 2005
