BCA Architects Ribbon Cutting

BCA Architects recently relocated its corporate headquarters to the Eagle Body Manufacturing building, an historic building constructed in 1921, and is located in downtown San Jose premiere arts and cultural district. BCA Architects partnered with the Redevelopment Agency to renovate and modernized the 16,385-square-foot building by adding 4,000 square feet of structural upgrades, facade improvement and building system upgrades to accommodate the office use. The San Jose Redevelopment Agency contributed $630,000 to the $3.1 million historic preservation project. During the past two decades, the San Jose Redevelopment Agency has invested more than $152 million to rehabilitate and preserve 110 historic properties.

 

Additionally, the Agency has invested more than $120 million towards improvements in the SoFA district. Some noted projects include street improvements and beautification, renovation of the historic California Theatre; assistance to galleries—Anno Domini Gallery, MACLA, Works/San José Gallery, San Jose Museum of Quilts & Textiles, San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art, and performance centers—City Lights Theater Company and San Jose Stage. www.sjredevelopment.org
