Grooved-billed Ani

A rare bird in the U.S. Never more than a handful north of the Rio Grande at any given time. Anis live in small groups of one to five breeding pairs. They defend a single territory and lay their eggs in one communal nest. All group members incubate the eggs and care for the young. Unique behavor. Our beautiful world, pass it on.
