Just emerged Monarch
Returned home after a month in Colorado to find this just emerged Monarch on the study porch. It will remain there most of the day until its wings harden enough to fly. This is a fourth generation Monarch that will migrate to winter in Mexico and start the generational northward migration next spring. Satisfying to see that my Tropical Milkweed was used as a waystation in this phenomenal butterfly migration.
