5th Annual Bunny on a Bike Ride 3.23.2008

The 5th Annual Bunny on a Bike Ride - the "Great" Convergence in Portland, Oregon organized by Carye Bye of Red Bat Press. For year 5, there were 5 rides from 5 quadrants converging into one mysterious park near the geographical center of Portland.
Once again, March brought rain, lots of it. All bunnies on bikes got soaked (estimation of 80 - 90, only three 8 and unders), but once we reached our mysterious destination, Irving Park in NE Portland, we hung out under the covered basket ball court. A rabbit-inspired potluck spread across several tables and one by one groups of bunnies biked in. Team SE was first, and way early! Next up was teams NW & SW who met up and biked over the Willamette together. Five Bunnies on Bikes bunny-bombed the SW hills before meeting up with that group. Team NE arrived with the "duckie" lady in lead, and finally Team N arrived last. After some feasting, a few bunnies on bikes played badminton, battling the wind, and a hilarious "party" game of passing "the bunny" was quite entertaining. We missed out on three-leg races and sun-bathing, and no one brought any hula-hoops - ah maybe next year!
One by one bunnies scattered back into Portland after enjoying a meet-up at the "Great" Bunny on a Bike gathering 2008.
