Valkyrja
Went on a much needed outing with my camera today, although this is NOT what I originally had in mind. Air temp was around -6°C (20°F ) and the lake was edged with ice. Close by, (as can be seen by the steam in the background), natural hot water is seeping up from the bottom of the lake through fissures caused by an earthquake several years ago. I assumed the water would be warm-ish where I planned on wading in, but was very much mistaken. If this water had been any colder, I would have been skating on it :/
But since I'd already put myself through the discomfort of undressing and putting on this costume with people in the distance watching me, I went ahead and waded pretty far out, snapping away madly with the remote, praying something would come out of this insanity. (this was one of the first shots, it's very shallow here, making it appear almost as though I'm walking on water, which is pretty cool I guess)
The lower half of the skirt was already freezing solid before I got back to shore. Refreshing ;)
ps: I'm tend to update things more frequently on facebook, so you might want to "like" my page on there if you enjoy my work :)
