Normandy 02
"Hard on my flank, we're going in!"
'The SSV Normandy SR-1 (Systems Alliance Space Vehicle Normandy Stealth Reconnaissance-1) was a Systems Alliance starship. She is a prototype "deep scout" frigate, first of the eponymous Normandy class, co-developed by the Alliance and the Turian Hierarchy with the sponsorship of the Citadel Council. She is optimized for solo reconnaissance missions deep within unstable regions, using state-of-the-art stealth technology powered by an experimental drive core.'
Well, here she is, 'finished'. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the stickers ('Normandy' and 'SR1') in time for SHIPtember, but I will have them, in time for BrisBricks in a few days, and for posting on MOCpages. I will add photos of a fully stickered Normandy when i can. The ship is AMAZINGLY well balanced, as evidenced by the lack of a forward stand. It balanced wholly on the stand under her hangar, slightly aft of the midpoint. This makes the SHIP great for display, but the inherent structural weakness means that there is little chance of me swooshing this anywhere. Oh well.
