crowdsourcing: help?
Can anyone decipher the street address in this clipping from Ellis Island? I think it *might* be 8401 Mackinaw, but I'm really unsure.
Below is the full letter from my Slovakian correspondent, whose grandfather lived in South Chicago early in the last century.

My grandfather, Andreas Hatala *1871 was in USA for 3 times. He worked at Pullman´s and in some iron works. I guess in US STEEL. He lived at 8533 Buffalo Ave. in Chicago.
I'm not able to read the second address from the Ellis Island notes. Via internet I met Eric who was so kind and helpful and gave me several information and photographs. Thank you, Eric! Nevertheless there are still some questions unanswered:
- Finding out how long he worked while his stays in Chicago. I know the exact dates of his arrivals to USA /Ellis Island/, I don´t know the departure date from the USA. Where can these recordings be found?
- Perhaps there is someone who has the picture of the house at 8533 Buffalo ave., that was demolished in about 2000. I'd love to see the house.
- Could anybody help me translate the address that my grandfather lived at?
- Will I gain the picture of the house at this address?
The dates of his arrivals to the USA: 10.October 1901, 3.Januar 1909, 29.May 1913.
