This excerpt summarizes the author's main concern, but throughout the book he describes many surprising examples of where AI automation is already taking over. For example, more brief news articles than we realize (because publishers hide that) have been written entirely by artificial intelligence, which one expert predicted will replace 90 percent of the remaining journalists.
