Good morning RDU! My name is Vic, and I live in Raleigh. I moved from Ames, Iowa to Chapel Hill 9 years ago with my then girlfriend —> fiancée —> wife who was starting grad school at UNC, and we moved to Raleigh in 2009. I’m an Engineer at Research Square (researchsquare.com), where I build things that help academics successfully publish their science. Today however, I took the day off from work to show you some of my favorite things around Raleigh! We’re going to start today off with a quick morning run through the Crabtree Creek Trail (part of the Capital Area Greenway), a 14.6 mile long trail that starts at Anderson Point Park and goes all the way up to Lindsay Dr off of Duraleigh Rd. It is third in length only to Neuse River Trail (27.5 miles) and Walnut Creek Trail (15.6 miles). The trail access is less than a mile from my house, making it a resource I use often. It’s a pretty fantastic way to be alone with just your thoughts and nature. The trail I run on is always so clean all the time, and for that we need to thank the Raleigh Parks System (@raleighparks) volunteer Adopt-A-Trail program and the volunteers themselves. To see trail sections that need adoption today, go to openmaps.raleighnc.gov/adoptatrail/index.html [📷 by @drinkallthethings] #eastraleigh #longviewgardensrepresent #shouldhavesetanalarm #ohgoditssohotoutsidehowdidisleepinuntil9 #runningonempty / on Instagram www.instagram.com/p/BE6FzSqjhxt/
