Honestly, an evening pass by NC State Centennial Campus in freezing rain is not part of my daily routine. But, it needed to be part of my baton day. This photo is of my wife & I with my late cousin Ava, whose life was cut short by pancreatic cancer in 2011. I volunteer as the Affiliate Coordinator for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network Raleigh-Durham and we’ll host a 5k fundraiser here on May 17, 2014. Pancreatic cancer is the 4th leading cancer killer and tracking in the wrong direction. Help me double the 6% five-year survival rate by 2020.
